 As the Party investigates the various complications around the banks, they zero in on the Penny & Sphinx as the potential location of the bank heist. Along the way, they encounter one Chadraxa, a loan shark operating out in the Docks district. In exchange for helping her get back her business license, she gave info on the smuggling ring working on behalf of the rumored Skinsaw Cult. Using this info, the Party raided the local smuggling ring, yet discovered they were tipped off. There is likely a mole in Edgewatch, the judicial system, or the Mudwrackers. Or, the Party is being spied on and followed.

+As the Party sets up defenses at the Penny & Sphinx, the bank is attacked by a giant fake ship. Using intense speed and good teamwork, the Party was able to stop the criminals from even approaching the vault. On the run, the Party interrogated one of the caught criminals and determined they were members of the Copper Hands. The Party decided to help the leader escape from Absalom in exchange for information. This catch was performed by the Sleepless Suns from the Foreign District.

+As information concerning the Skinsaw cult is made known to the higher-ups in Absalom, the case is taken away from the Party. This is now too big for them and there's too much suspicion on the Party (and Edgewatch and the Judicial system as a whole). The Graycloaks, under command of Runewulf the Unbeliever, have taken over the case as it relates to cult issues. After about a week, the Party is requisitioned by Runewulf under the lie that it is an interview on their information on the Skinsaw Cult. Rather, this was an order of, dubious, legality to get the Party into the Catacombs of Aroden to save the lost expedition led by one Corporal Quordein.
+As the Party enters the catacombs, they decide to take the path less trod and go the long way around via the chasm and enter along the beach where the Party is ambushed by two demons and a poorly programmed flesh golem.
