Matanji orcs are demon hunters and widely respected in the local region as great capable warriors who focus on the bigger picture instead of petty local conflicts. This leads orcs (and half-orcs) to call upon their history to let them try to avoid being pulled into smaller issues, but also gives them respectable positions as potential diplomats, using their reputation to help tribes focus on the true potential threats that loom over the region. Yet, in a surprising twist, their race is willing to use demon magic, claiming it just takes a strong mind and will to avoid the corruption (all magic is magic). A spell is no more evil than a sword. Just a tool to fight. Class recommendations are typically champions, clerics, barbarians, fighters. But, special attention should be placed on swashbucklers and champions for their focus on both diplomacy and fighting. Sorcerers with demon traditions make for excellent orcs as well due to their history. Witches make little sense as they avoid tying themselves to a patron willingly. At level 5, it is recommended to take the Demonblood Frenzy ancestry feat. The Matanji have a sort of quasi-caste system (see [[https://pathfinder.isitaspider.synology.me/doku.php?id=people:humans#yamasan|Yamasan]]). Half-orcs (Witanji) typically are granted exceptional access to education in magic, medicine, politics, and technology while the non-aristocratic Matanji (full-blooded orcs) are trained from birth in the martial arts. If you take a more academic class, consider Witanji. If you are a more martial class, consider Matanji. This is not set in stone though as the whole reason you’re going to the university is because you stand out from the rest of your group.
