Official Districts of Absalom

Absalom has 11 proper districts in addition to a few unofficial districts.

Ascendant Court

The religious center of the city with the Starstone Cathedral at the core.

The Coins

The world-famous markets and banks of Absalom are mostly located here.

The Docks

The harbor of the city

Eastgate

The quiet residential part of the city in addition to containing the druidic grove around the ancient fig tree Grand Holt

Foreign Quarter

This district is composed largely of foreigners and immigrants. Those looking for brawn can also go to the Pathfinder Lodge or to the grand Irorium where daily non-lethal gladiatorial combat happens.

Ivy District

The arts district of Absalom as well as the place to get custom-made magic equipment.

Petal District

The district of the rich and powerful

Precipice Quarter

A formerly ruined quarter currently under renovation. Hosting the Festival. Also, where the Edgewatch agents headquarters are located.

The Puddles

The poorest district of Absalom due to the constant flooding

Foreign Quarter

Location of the houses of the upper-middle class. While not nobility, many families here have been in Absalom for generations.

Wise Quarter

If there is knowledge to be had, it is in the Wise Quarter. The best and brightest serve and study here. In addition, the Absalom Mint is located here for magical protection of the local economy.

Unofficial Districts

The following are unofficial districts of Absalom

The Undercity

Located underneath the city, it is not in any one specific district nor even a specific layer of the city. But rather, is underneath all districts and descends so far below the surface that most do not know the true extent of the undercity. The Pathfinder group known as the Sewer Dragons, do their best to investigate the undercity and keep tourists away from danger.

Outskirts

The towns of Copperwood, Dawnfoot, Shoreline, and Westerhold are located outside of the walls of Absalom. While not subject to the same high taxes, they still enjoy many of the privileges of being so close to Absalom. If they're willing to make the long walk into town every day.

Flotsam Graveyard

Not a district per se, but a collection of scuttled ships used as a military buffer against invasion. Also the location of the Black Whale prison ship.
