Born to a large merchant family, Ufi grew up surrounded by various cultures and people. Always on the move, Ufi soon learned that a warm smile and a hot meal could melt even the coldest of hearts. Raised to be a doctor for his tribe, he grew to be a strong, thoughtful young man with a deep knowledge of medicine and plants. Ufi loved his family and his village and considered himself blessed by the love they showed him in return.

During an outing to collect wood, Ufi discovered an ancient set of stone beads engraved with an intricate design. Unable to identify the symbols, Ufi sought out a the advice of a sage. The sage told Ufi that he had not seen such a symbol before, but could tell it was some sort of holy symbol. Intrigued, Ufi refused to sell the artifact and tried to study it every so often. One day, his father fell deathly ill. Despite his best effort, Ufi was unable to heal him with traditional methods. Grasping the symbol, Ufi let out a prayer so heartfelt that whatever god was beyond that holy symbol heard his prayer and it was the first time Ufi was able to cast a spell. Seeing this as a sign of the divine, the group decided that Ufi needed to seek out the name of this god to properly thank them. Surely the god has something in mind for Ufi? Was Ufi chosen by fate? Happenstance? Just what would this god require of Ufi in exchange for saving his father's life? A thousand questions with only a single answer.

Ufi felt uncertain about leaving his village, but he traveled with Kalaggi Nakutu to the university. He now wishes to learn as much as he can about magic and his new faith, and he hopes to protect his classmates and make his village proud. Ufi likes all his fellow students, but, besides the almost familial bond he shares with Kalaggi Nakutu, he’s particularly captivated by Zane’s easygoing demeanor and wit.

1. There is a leshy garden at the university. He has expressed interest in spending downtime there to meet the leshys (something that he has only met once before as they do not frequently grow where he lives), but he is too busy with his studies and needs help with the more advanced homework (arcana or occultism).
2. He needs to figure out what the hell is his religious symbol. When not in classes or working, he will likely be in the library searching for information on dead / forgotten gods.
